The revised and still localised (CKD) new 2024 Porsche Cayenne has officially launched in Malaysia!

Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance – SDAP) has officially introduced the face-lifted and locally produced (CKD) 2024 Porsche Cayenne luxury performance SUV earlier today. Commanding a base price of RM599,999, SDAP has already begun taking order for the model last month.

Matrix LED Headlights are amongst many new standard features equipped in this localised base variant of the face-lifted E3-gen Cayenne.

Globally unveiled earlier this year, the heavily revised third generation (E3) Cayenne sees plenty of styling changes matched with a revamped interior. The latter now mirrors closely to what’s seen in the all-electric Taycan four-door GT thanks to its new new 12.6-inch curved digital instrument display and 12.3-inch centre infotainment touchscreen.

The revisions also sees the base Cayenne now primed with Matrix LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Power Steering Plus, Front and Rear Park Assist with Surround View, along with a Bose Surround Audio suite plus a newly added 15-watt wireless smartphone charging pad.

The cabin has been fully revamped to feature all-new digital displays, 15-watt wireless smartphone charging pad, as well as a host of standard-equipped luxury such as soft-close doors and electric roll-up sun blinds.

Like its immediate predecessor, this new, Kulim-built and face-lifted Cayenne continues to offer plenty of standard luxury equipment and tech on board. Highlights include 14-way electric comfort seats with memory package, quad-zone automatic climate control, and electric roll-up sun blinds for the rear windows. New here too are soft-close doors, as well as an Adaptive Cruise Control suite.

Mechanically, this updated base variant of the Cayenne now harnesses an updated 3.0-litre V6 turbo heart that sees a 13 PS and 50 NM increase in outputs to 353 PS and 500 NM. The mill is paired with an 8-speed automatic box, promising 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 5.7 seconds thanks to its newly added Sport Chrono Package – one of several new features primed as standard.

14-way electric comfort seats with memory package can be trimmed in either black or dual-tone black-red leather upholstery choices.

L-R: 20-inch Cayenne Design wheels are standard fitment, but optional 21-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design and 22-inch Sport Design wheels in high-gloss black finishes are available at extra cost.

Malaysian buyers get three exterior paint choices, those being Carrara White Metallic, Chromite Black Metallic, and Quarzite Grey Metallic. On board, the cabin can be trimmed in either smooth-finish single-tone black leather or dual-tone black-Bordeaux Red leather colourways. Notably, the seats also feature the Porsche crest embossed into the headrests.

Next, 20-inch Cayenne Design wheels are standard fitment, but both the 21-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design and 22-inch Sport Design options finished in high-gloss black are available, each costing RM45,000 ad RM49,000 extra. Also available as an RM13,500 cost-option are the Rear Seat Entertainment suite that offered through the Porsche Tequipment catalogue.
