H.R. Owen, a leading luxury automotive dealer group in the United Kingdom and owned by none other than Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan, recently expanded its portfolio after adding Lotus to its roster.
This exciting partnership sees H.R. Owen stands as the latest Lotus retailer in the UK, and it will offer the marque’s latest such as the Evija, Emira, Eletre, and the newly revealed Emeya to its discerning customers.
Ken Choo, CEO of H.R. Owen, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. "At H.R. Owen, we strive to align ourselves with brands that redefine luxury and performance,” said Choo.
He also noted Lotus' commitment to innovation, particularly with electrifying models such as Emeya, is perfectly aligned with H.R. Owen’s vision. “We are excited to offer these exceptional vehicles to our customers,” continued Choo.
H.R. Owen’s new Lotus showroom is located in Hatfield within the firm’s flagship multi-brand facility, which also houses a two-storey Ferrari showroom, as well as Lamborghini, Maserati, and Bentley dealerships.
Mike Johnstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Lotus, stated, "H.R. Owen's esteemed reputation and discerning customer base make it an ideal partner for Lotus in the UK." The Hatfield location, which is easily accessible north of London, will significantly increase brand visibility in the southeast of England.
H.R. Owen, boasts over 90 years experience in luxury car sales and servicing, manages prestigious dealerships such as Jack Barclay Bentley in Mayfair. It is also the only Bugatti Service Partner of Excellence in the UK.
The group represents a number of luxury brands. It includes major names like Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati.
H.R. Owen's commitment to world-class customer service has been recognised globally, with two of its dealerships named world’s best by their respective manufacturers in 2023: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London and Lamborghini Manchester.
Questions have been raised if the Malaysian-owned group seeks to expand into the local market with any of the brands it carries. Given how swiftly Ferrari changed local distributors in Malaysia recently, we won’t deny the possibility just yet…
