The Lamborghini Huracan STJ debuts as Lambo’s V10 swansong, featuring improved aerodynamics and mechanical bits.

It is no secret that Lamborghini is set to debut a new model to replace the existing Huracan, which is said to feature a new V8-based plug-in hybrid (PHEV) setup. Ahead of its debut, the Sant’Agata-based marque has decided to give the Huracan a proper V10 swansong with this final edition model, known as the Lamborghini Huracan STJ.

Stands for ‘Super Trofeo Jota’, the Huracan STJ is perhaps the most extreme example of this iconic nameplate we’ve ever seen, featuring some track-focused parts and tuning. Apart from that, this special swansong is also the first Lambo model to use the ‘Jota’ name since the iconic Miura back in the 1970s.

Built upon the already extreme Huracan STO, the Huracan STJ comes with a full set of carbon fibre body kits, which include more extreme canards on its front bumper, a double-deck rear wing, as well as a GT car-style dorsal fin on its roof. All these features help the Huracan STJ create 10% more downforce compared to the STO.

Besides that, the Huracan STJ also benefits from new four-way adjustable, motorsport-derived dampers that let drivers manually tweak the bump and rebound level for each of the four suspensions. Other key features present on the STJ include the 20-inch centre-lock forged alloy wheels shod in new Bridgestone Potenza Race tyres.

The Huracan STJ is powered by the same 5.2-litre V12 engine as the Huracan STO.

On the powertrain front, the Huracan STJ retains the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine as what we saw on the STO, still outputting 631 HP and 565 NM. Also similar to the STO is the STJ’s drivetrain setup, featuring a rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup plus a seven-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Despite using the same powertrain setup as the STO, the improved mechanical and aerodynamics garnered by the Huracan STJ have allowed this special model to lap more than a second faster than the STO around the Nardo race track.

To make the Huracan STJ stand out even further, Lamborghini came out with two special livery designs, with the one shown here being the blue one with red, black, and white accents scattered around the exterior, while the other one finished in grey instead. To denote the exclusivity of this model, each Huracan STJ comes with a special carbon fibre plate inside its cabin that reads “1 of 10”.

With only 10 units produced, the Lamborghini Huracan STJ is truly the ultimate V10-powered Lamborghini that you can’t even buy today, as all 10 models have already been spoken for even before its official unveiling took place. Regardless of how much Lambo charges for one of these special Huracans, we’d reckon the model would fetch even higher in any auction house in years to come.
