Summary

Brandishing an explicit statement of contemporary design with cutting-edge innovations, BMW Malaysia has unveiled the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo.

This is the brand’s latest iteration of its kind since it was first introduced in 2017, and the locally-assembled BMW 630i GT M Sport retails with an on the road, without an insurance tag of RM 430,800.00 with SST and RM 417,659.05 without SST.

Exterior

Body Dimensions
The measurements are 5,091 mm length, 1,902 mm width, 1,538 mm height, and weigh 1,795 kg with a wheelbase spanning 3,070 mm.
Front View
The BMW 630i GT M Sport exudes a muscular and sporty exterior with a front bumper that is very fierce-looking. It gets a set of commanding new kidney grilles with active shutters that are relatively large and are highlighted by chrome trims. It also gets a pair of slit-shaped fog lights integrated into the large and sporty looking air inlets located at the bumper’s corners with another separated wider and stretched out air inlet positioned in between the lower middle part of the bumper.
Rear View
At the rear, the BMW 630i GT M Sport gets a slightly robust yet sporty look for the overall design. Notably is the coupe-like roofline that is matched with a retractable active rear spoiler. The rear bumper is fitted with the M Package as standard with slit-shaped fog lights and a dark grey simple and sporty diffuser complemented by two-sided trapezoidal exhaust pipes.
Headlamps
It gets a pair of sharp and angular-shaped headlamps with LED projector units and the signature L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL). It also features the BMW Laserlight with high-beam assist, which adds dynamic laser illumination technology to the new LED Matrix headlights system. The positioning of the headlights are slanted inwards to give it a fierce-looking face, and the sharp angular design provides the front with a more focused and athletic look.
Tail Lamps
At the back, the BMW 630i GT M Sport’s taillights are fitted with LED combination units. The large wraparound taillights have been shaped to match the front end’s design, which has a very commanding layout of the rear.
Side Mirror
The side mirrors are power adjusted and power folded with turn indicators and blind spot indicators.
Wheels
The BMW 630i GT M Sport rides on a set of 20-inch M light-alloy rims in Star-spoke style 817 M bicolour with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Pirelli P Zero run-flat tyres.

Interior

Dashboard
The dashboard design is sporty and premium-looking with high levels of craftsmanship and builds quality. It is covered in full Dakota leather upholstery with Black and Cognac colour choices, complemented by sporty detailing in contrasting stitching and piping. Featuring a Sensatec dash, the buttons for the systems and the overall layout are well put as it is simple with very easy reachability and driver-oriented.
Instrument Cluster
The BMW 630i GT M Sport gets a fully digital 12.3-inch LCD high-resolution multi-functional colour with a black-panel technology instrument cluster with a head-up display.
Seats
The seats are finished in full Dakota leather upholstery with refined contrasting stitching as a detailing finish. It comes with a choice of Black and Cognac colours. The sport seats are also power adjusted for the front passenger and driver, with the driver’s seat getting a memory function.
Space
The BMW 630i GT M Sport offers plenty of head, shoulder and legroom; thus, front and rear occupants get ample space. The space is very generous due to the height and lengthy scale of the body.

It has numerous storage areas, including large-sized door pockets, compartmentalised storage areas in the centre console, a cavern storage space in the centre console armrest and a decent-sized glove box.

The BMW 630i GT M Sport features Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Launch Assist (HLA), Auto Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go function, Blind Spot Monitoring System (BSM), Driving Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA). It also comes with a Driving Assistant Package that includes Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Lane Change Warning System (LCWS), Front Collision Warning (FCW) with brake intervention and crossing traffic warning rear, rear collision prevention. Other than that, it also features a Parking Assistant Plus with a surround-view camera.
Passive Safety
Passive safety includes 6 airbags, including driver and passenger, front side, front and rear curtain, 5 three-point seat belt anchors with reminders, front and rear parking sensors, parking camera, ISOFIX, front impact beams, and side-impact beams and immobiliser.

Infotainment
The BMW 630i GT M Sport features the BMW Live Cockpit Professional system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen that supports the Navigation System Professional infotainment. It also comes with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, 4G LTE connectivity and various services such as remote software upgrades and over-the-air map updates for the navigation system.
Sound System
It is installed with a 464-watt and 16 speakers Harman Kardon sound system.

The BMW 630i GT M Sport gets an 8-speed ZF Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.

The BMW 630i GT M Sport has handling that is more refined and agile. It is very spacious and extremely comfortable. Overall, the ride quality is good and has a wonderfully smooth engine power and transmission delivery. 
Sound Insulation
The BMW 630i GT M Sport has good sound insulation. BMW has improved the NVH aspects of the vehicle; hence the cabin can suppress wind, road and tyre noises well and make them barely noticeable even when cruising through bumpy asphalts.
