Fully-imported (CBU) from Korea, the Kia EV6 is a purely electrified SUV, offering sporty good looks and advanced features.

It underpins the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture, which features a multi-charging system, compatible with both 400- and 800-V DC fast chargers.

There are five exterior colours available, e.g., Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue.

Locally distributed by Dinamikjaya Motors, the single variant offered, GT-Line AWD, is priced at MYR 300,668 (OTR – w/insurance).

Each purchase comes with a five-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, and a seven-year/150,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first.

Body Dimensions


Weighing in at 2,105 kg, the Kia EV6 stands at 4,695 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1,550 mm tall, and with a wheelbase spanning 2,900 mm.

Front View


Distinct and bold, it portrays a very focused-looking front end, with contours that are crisp and seamless, accompanied by gloss black mid and lower air vents.

Rear View


Its rear exhibits a robust yet sharply designed layout with a coupe-like roofline and a sporty roof edge spoiler. It also has gloss black accents around the lower bumper to match the front.

Headlamps


Headlamps are dual LED projector units equipped with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and have auto on/off and levelling functions. They are angularly-shaped, slim and pointed, donating to an aggressive outlook.

Tail Lamps


The tail lamps are LED combination units in a very slim, light strip design with vertical dashes as lighting graphics. It stretches across the top of the tailgate from edge to edge.

Side Mirror


It is power adjusted and power folded with turn- and blind spot-indicators.

Wheels


Completing the outlook, it is equipped with a set of 20-inch five-spoke alloy rims, wrapped in 225/45 R20 profile Continental PremiumContact 6 tyres.

Dashboard


The Kia EV6’s dashboard gets an all-black treatment, and its main highlight is the fairly large screen, commanding half of the space. Overall, it has a minimalist inspired style and the cockpit layout is elegantly and logically designed to ensure a better driving experience.

It gets a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster.

Seats


Its five-seater interior features a GT-Line decked out interior. The seats are in black suede upholstery with white leatherette detailing. Front seats are power adjustable with Premium Relaxation, lumbar support, heating, ventilation, and driver's side memory functions.

Front and rear occupants have no issues with space as it has generous headroom, leg room and shoulder room.

It has practical little spaces like a centre console storage box, medium sized glove box, front seatback pockets, and front and rear door storage.

Cup Holders

There are four cup holders. Two in the front centre console and two in the rear seat armrest. 

Charging Ports

There are two 12-V power sockets (one front/one rear), four USB-C ports (two front/two rear), and a Qi wireless charger.

Boot Space

It gets two cargo spaces, one trunk at the front (frunk) and one at the rear. The frunk’s capacity is 20-litres and the rear is 520-litres, and up to 1,300-litres with the second-row seats folded down.

Engine


The Kia EV6 harbours two electric motors, front and rear. Powered by a 77.4-kWh Lithium-Ion battery, the front produces 99 HP/74-kW and 255 NM of torque, while the rear produces 221 HP/165-kW and 350 NM of torque. It makes a total system output of 320 HP/239-kW and 605 NM of torque. 

Transmission


It has a single ratio automatic transmission (Shift-By-Wire Selector)

Power is sent to all four wheels (Long Range AWD).

Acceleration


It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and has a 185 km/h top speed.

Fuel Consumption


Compatible with both 400-V and 800-V DC fast chargers, without the need for any special adapter or additional on-board charger. Offers a total driving range of up to 506 km (WLTP).

50-kW DC fast charging (CCS2) takes 73 minutes for a 10-80% state of charge (SoC). While, the maximum DC power input at 350 kW, gets a 10-80% SoC in just 18 minutes.

It also supports 11-kW AC charging (Type 2), and a full charge from 10-100% takes seven hours and 20 minutes. 

Plus, it further comes with a Vehicle-2-Load (V2L) charging function, supplying up to 3.6-kW to power most electronic accessories.

Ride comfort feels soft and smooth. The vehicle delivers a comfortable yet connected steering feel, with balanced weighing at all speeds. The overall drive is steady and offers grip to the driver. 

Sound Insulation

It has good sound insulation, with very good NVH aspects, the ride is quiet, more refined and the road noise is mostly muted.
