BYD's Most Powerful ATTO 3 Yet Is Here In Malaysia, Priced At RM149,800

The BYD ATTO 3 has officially gone from sensible family EV to something a lot more serious.

BYD Sime Motors has launched the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance in Malaysia, and it is now the most powerful ATTO 3 to date.

The headline figures are hard to ignore: 330 kW, 560 Nm, all-wheel drive and 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.

Price? RM149,800.

So, How Much Faster Is It?

A lot faster.

The Performance sits above the existing Ultra and Premium variants, and compared with them, the power jump is substantial.

Battery And Charging Stay Practical

Despite the extra performance, BYD hasn't turned this into a short-range toy.

The ATTO 3 Performance uses a 74.88 kWh Blade Battery, supports DC fast charging of up to 220 kW, and offers a claimed 530 km NEDC range.

That is less than the Premium's 600 km NEDC figure, but buyers are clearly getting a very different proposition here: more power, AWD and much stronger acceleration.

It Also Gets A Few Extra Toys

The Performance isn't only about speed.

It adds a windscreen head-up display and, for the first time in the ATTO 3 line-up, a vehicle refrigerator with cooling and heating functions.

It also carries over the Premium's enhanced ADAS package, including Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Front Cross Traffic Alert and Front Cross Traffic Brake.

Only 69 Units For Malaysia

Here's the catch: this isn't joining the regular ATTO 3 line-up in unlimited numbers.

BYD Sime Motors is bringing in just 69 units of the Performance variant, with the number chosen to mark Malaysia's 69th Merdeka.

The Performance is priced at RM149,800, compared with RM125,800 for the Ultra and RM138,800 for the Premium.

BYD is also offering a launch package worth up to RM10,000, with customers able to choose between a wall charger with standard installation plus overtrade support, OR a six-year standard service package plus overtrade support.

Is It Worth The Extra RM11,000?

Compared with the Premium, the Performance costs another RM11,000.

For that difference, buyers get another 100 kW of power, 180 Nm more torque, AWD and a much quicker 0-100 km/h time, plus a few extra convenience features.

Whether that's worth it depends on what you want from an ATTO 3, but for buyers who always thought the SUV needed a bit more excitement, this is certainly the version to look at.
